Appointment of Jean-Laurent Granier as chairman of the Board of Directors of Europ Assistance Holding SAS
Paris, 29th November 2018 – Europ Assistance announces the appointment of Jean-Laurent Granier as Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective of 30th October 2018. Jean Laurent Granier will replace Frédéric de Courtois who has taken the role of General Manager of the Generali Group.
Following the appointment of Frédéric de Courtois as General Manager of the Generali Group, Jean-Laurent Granier, CEO of Generali France since June 2017 and a member of the Group Management Committee of Generali Group, has become Chairman of the Board of Directors of Europ Assistance Holding, parent company of Europ Assistance Group. Jean-Laurent joined the Board of Directors of this company in December 2017 and appointed in 2018 to oversee the Europ Assistance Group.
Jean-Laurent Granier began his career with UAP in 1990 then AXA in 1997 and worked in various senior positions in France before leading the Mediterranean and Latin America Regions and eventually becoming Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of AXA Global P&C.
