Europ Assistance Group acquires 100% of Portuguese business

Europ Assistance Group reached an agreement with Seguradoras Unidas to acquire its stake in Europ Assistance Portugal, holding now 100% of the company which has operated in the country for 25 years.

This acquisition strengthens the group's strategic focus in Portugal, where it provides assistance to over half a million Portuguese. It is also the recognition of the quality, innovation and team spirit of the company's 400 employees.

In Portugal, the company began its activity in travel and auto assistance, but in recent years it has developed into other business areas, like health and home & family assistance.

For the CEO of Europ Assistance Group, Antoine Parisi: “This acquisition confirms the Group’s commitment to Portugal. Also it reinforces our stakes in our subsidiaries in Brazil, Chile and Argentina. Latin America being a strategic market to our Group”.
