Stiftung Warentest awards Europ Assistance’s travel health insurance with "VERY GOOD (1.1)"

One of Germany's most important consumer organization, awards Europ Assistance’s travel health insurance with "VERY GOOD (1.1)"

Germany award

Stiftung Warentest has awarded Europ Assistance's German travel health insurance for singles and families with the test verdict "VERY GOOD (1.1)" in the current May issue of the journal "Finanztest".

Europ Assistance was able to significantly improve results in both products compared to the last rating from 2017. A large part of these improvements are due to medical services, rated VERY GOOD (0.6), as well as benefits in the case of war, pandemic and nuclear energy, rated VERY GOOD (0.7). A total of 42 annual family and 50 single travel health insurance products were examined.

Peter Georgi, CEO of Europ Assistance Germany: "I am very proud that our efforts to continually develop our travel health insurance are reflected in Stiftung Warentest's results. With our modern family definition, we also offer coverage for diverse families and even for children traveling alone. Furthermore, we have included for the first-time psychotherapeutic treatments for a trauma during a vacation. Our customers don’t need to worry about large hospital bills in case of a hospital stay – we guarantee to handle these directly with the hospital. Traditionally, we pay special attention to the comprehensibility of our insurance conditions, which the Stiftung Warentest honored with the highest grade VERY GOOD (0.5)."
